Full, Fierce Brows

Photo grabbed from chfi.com
Not everyone is blessed with dramatic brows. But with this pencil-plus-powder trick, you can look like you were born that way.

The Pro: Sania Vucetaj, owner of Sania's Brow Bar in New York City.

The Prep: Dust translucent powder over your arches to soak up any oil. Brow makeup won't stick to a slick surface.

Mila Kunis proves big brows are way sexy.

So, in this post, I'll be showing you (with pictures) how to achieve that full, fierce brows! (winks)

The Technique:

1.) Comb down brow hairs with a spoolie (a.k.a clean mascara brush) to reveal the top edge of your brow.

2.) Use a brow pencil that's a shade or two lighter than your natural hue to enhance the top edge, making short, horizontal strokes. Then, comb hairs back up to cover the line you just made.

3.) Do the same across your lower brow line, but use small, upward diagonal strokes instead, so the line blends in with your hairs.

4.) With an angled brush, fill brows with powder (it should match the pencil from step two) to max out their fullness. Brow powder looks softer and more natural than pencil, so it's better for filling large areas.

5.) To lock in color, mist the spoolie with hair spray, and run it through arches in an up-and-out motion.

A spoolie, like Billion Dollar Brows Brow Brush, which cost Php850, is essential for shaping.

I never touch my eyebrows. I don't wear mascara. It's for the simple reason that I wear contact lenses day in and day out so it's not for me. Just too bad! :-(
